Match report by Francis

After winning the Twickenham derby last week easily, the Sharks looked to build on their good form by doing the double over the Tigers, starting with a minute’s silence for the events in Paris.

The game started lively, the Sharks mounting the pressure on the Tigers’ goal, hitting the post quickly after kickoff; with the whole team looking solid it looked to be an easy game. A sloppy give away in the midfield led to a Tigers counter attack, which they scored. 1-0.

The Sharks responded brightly to conceding, with the ball breaking nicely for Nile in the box, with a nice turn he slotted it past the keeper. 1-1.

The momentum continued to build in the Sharks favour, grabbing a second very quickly afterwards, a clever ball from Gabby put Francis through who converted it easily. We came into half time, with the same score line as last week, and the lead.

After half time, Charlie and Ben combined with some intricate one-touch passing, followed by Ben squaring it to Gabby who finished easily. 3-1.

The Sharks were in full flow now, showing off their passing play.

Proceeding to dominate the match, Francis burst through their defense and sweated the ball to Ben, who smashed it top corner. 4-1.

The defense was holding solid and cutting out any danger that came their way, the Tigers had no chance of scoring. After Jayden was challenged by their striker, he played a fantastic ball from the goal kick to Francis who ran past their defense and finished easily. 5-1.

Overall a brilliant performance for the Sharks, who now move up to 2nd in the league.
