Match Report by Marion Cumberbatch
It was a cold, windy, muddy, rainy day when the Sharks played for the second time against Met Police. The first time around the score had been 1-1.
Met Police started this match strongly, having the wind in their favour. In the 10th and 15th minutes they managed two lucky goals. Jayden got his fingertips to the high first one but could not hold it. In the 24th minute there was an unlucky miss from Nile and two really good saves by Jayden, and at half time the score was 0-2 to Met Police.
With the wind now in our favour but the weather getting worse, we started off better. Again, though, it seemed hard to get the breaks moving forward. There were two near misses from Nile and Enrico and then, in the 24th minute of the second half, Jayden did a brilliant dive to stop a shot, but unfortunately the ball fell into the path of one of their strikers who put it into the back of the net.
The final score was 0-3 but it was a sterling performance from all the team, especially as a couple of the players had just come back from time off due to illness, and they were playing in adverse conditions against a very determined Met Police.
